Wadi Rum Oasis is situated in a very convenient location – just 4 km from the Wadi Rum Village, and is a kind of gateway to the Wadi Rum desert.

From the village, you can get here by jeep or follow the scenic trail leading along Jabal Rum near the Nabataean Temple and Lawrence Springs to the very foot of Abu Nukheila.

The proximity of the village provides convenient and fast transport and – which may not be too important here in the desert – in some places it allows access to the mobile network and the Internet.

The area around the camp is incredibly charming. Above the camp there is the Mountain of Crazy Poles, which is reached by a fairly easy trekking trail. On the slope of the mountain you can find many amazing remains of prehistoric times – rock drawings, hieroglyphs and even graves.

From the camp there is a breathtaking view of Jabal Khazali, Jabal Qatar and Khawr al ‘Ajram and the entire entrance to the Wadi Rum desert.

Mohammed Domayan, from the Bedouin tribe of al Zelabie, who rules Wadi Rum, is the owner and founder of this camp. He knows the desert like the back of his hand and is one of the best guides in Wadi Rum.

He is also an undisputed expert on hieroglyphs, which he has been documenting for years. In its collections it has the most interesting rock drawings that can be found in this desert. They come from prehistoric, Nabatean, Roman and Jewish times.

Mohammed is also an amateur astronomer, thanks to which he can talk about everything that can be seen in this unique sky on a clear night.

Mohammed is helped in running the camp by his brothers Ali and Salim who are one of the best guides on the desert. In our team are also our two friends from Poland – Łukasz Tulej and Paweł Burda.

Our team can’t wait to meet you in our camp and show you the beauty of Wadi Rum and all of Jordan (we also run trips from here to Aqaba, Madaba, Jerash, Dana Reserve, Mount Nebo and the capital – Amman).

Wadi Rum

..offering some of the most extraordinary desert scenery you’ll ever witness. It is the definitive highlight of any visit to Jordan. This area – made famous abroad by the exploits of T.E. Lawrence (‘Lawrence of Arabia’) in the early 20th century – proudly boasts a myriad of moods and dramatic colours, dictated by the changing angle of the sun.

Nature’s gift is our gain, with the finest climbing, hiking, camel riding, horse riding, jeeping, photography and meditation options known to the Middle East. In addition, a sunset, sunrise and the explosion of stars that must be seen to be believed.

Wildlife.

‘Nocturnal’ is the way to describe the creatures that lurk here. So you must be on your toes to spy the Camel Spider, Arabian Oryx, Desert Lark, Ibex, Grey Wolf, one of the 10 species of snake (only 2 venemous!) or 8 species of scorpion that live here. You are, however, guaranteed to see the following: Black Beetles and Camels!
